al’halpam, sometimes also called chehalpam, anhalpam, and Santiam Kalapuya is one of the Kalapuya bands I come from. I wanted to honor my Kalapuyan family, my great great Grandfather John B. ‘Mose’ Hudson, and name my apothecary after my them. al’halpam apothecary honors the traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) and ancestral wisdom of my Ancestors by creating high-quality, handcrafted herbal products that support wellness. Through sustainable harvesting, traditional preparation methods, and deep respect for the land, we aim to reconnect people with the healing power of plants.
Our mission is to honor the traditions and wisdom of the al’halpam kalapuya and our Ancestors by creating natural, handcrafted remedies rooted in cultural knowledge and sustainable practices. Through our apothecary, we aim to preserve and share the healing traditions of our family while fostering a deeper connection to the land, promoting wellness, and ensuring this knowledge thrives for future generations.
